The Beginning!
So our day of the "NICE FAMILY SONOGRAM" turned into UGH!!! They found that the baby is about 1.5# and should be about 2#. After further Sono, we found out that the Umbilical Cord had some restrictions, poor blood flow... Dr. says, I'm admitting you into the hospital and we may deliver you.. Christy: Deliver WHEN? Dr.: By 5pm today.. baby is only 25 weeks old. Needless to say, not the words we wanted to here...
We are at the hospital, Christy's blood pressure is shot through the roof, (195/105) and we have already signed all the consent forms, waiting on Dr, to say yep, we are about to deliver... Prayers go up, Glory comes Down... By 4pm, Dr. has said, we are just going to monitor you for another hour and then re-assess the situation...
Current Status, We are here indefinatly, unless the LORD intervenes, the Dr. says she is pretty sure that we will have to deliver within the week, however, we will have another sonogram in the morning, and re-assess again then. We are operation on a day to day basis, PRAYING for more time for the baby to grow more.
At this point, it will be very critical for baby Mikele if she is born since she is not fully developed yet. They have given steroid shots to help boost the growth, but it will only start taking effect in 48 hours, so every day that we can wait is better. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
For those who want to know, We are at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Houston,TX. Area.Actual Address is 500 Medical Center, Webster, TX. 4th Flor, Room 449.
My work has been extremly cooperative with me, and have given me time off until I am ready to come back. And, if I come back before baby is born, (which I will have to, cant afford it) then they will arrange for someone else to make my deliveries and let me remain in the warehouse so that I can leave as soon as I get a call if anything changes with Christy or baby. Thank you JESUS for a great JOB!
Danny
